Authenticity, Accountability, Action.
Authenticity, Accountability, Action.
I am a US Army Veteran and Film Production MFA graduate with numerous credits under my belt. I have worked in almost every position throughout all three stages of production, but specifically, I am known for being a Key Grip and 2nd AD. I am excited to continue to learn more about filmmaking as my career progresses. The deluge of film knowledge never stops! As a filmmaker and a human, I value authenticity, accountability, and action-- I strive to execute those three A's every day.
I can help usher your ideas into reality! Your first step is to send a message about your project to jack@jackgilio.com. I can give you a quote and point you to your next steps. I have experience making documentaries, commercials, short films, and short-form content {TikTok, Youtube, Instagram Reels}
Check out the commercial we shot for Biolete Coffee! It is an organic, protein powder-based instant coffee packed with neurotropics, electrolytes, and minerals. The goal was to market to athletes and entrepreneurs. We chose to highlight the story of the Founder/CEO's journey to discovering the need for this unique product. We shot on location at BioFit Performance, a state-of-the-art gym in Florida.
Here is a set for the short Sci-Fi comedy "Quasar Commando." As the 2nd AD, I had the unique opportunity to work for a D.G.A. certified 1st AD. This picture was taken right before shooting our martini shot.
On the set of the short drama "Committed," we knew a thunderstorm was headed toward us, so we opted to rig up the GVM motorized slider on a few light stands. Quick, easy, and efficient.
On the set of the short thriller "Fika," we used the Sony A7 Venice with the Ronin 2. I operated it via the ready rig (see left) and on a jib.
As the Key Grip for the short horror "Cracks In The Porcelain," the biggest challenge was rigging an aputure light above a 12-foot wall. Safety and security were paramount given that the talent would be right below. A few c-stand arms, plenty of sandbags, and a grip holding the base on the other side helped us accomplish the shot without harm.
I was the Key PA for the short drama "I Win." I did a little bit of everything, but I mostly facilitated the movement of talent from set to set. Here you can see a picture I took with the two leads after we wrapped.
On the set of the music video "Drug Love" by rapper/hip-hop artist Luh Roxx, I balanced duties as a Key Grip and 1st AC.
I am a proud older brother of three younger siblings, all born and raised in New Canaan, Connecticut. I am a US Army Veteran, where I was stationed at Fort Riley, KS, and South Korea.
Please contact us if you cannot find an answer to your question.
It all depends on what you are looking for! We will work closely together to establish a timeline and due date!
Both! The bigger the project, the more minds needed. For small projects, like short-form content, I tend to do it myself!
Tell us a little bit about your project. We will get back to you as soon as you can with some ideas of how we can make your story shine.
